DESCRIPTION:

Launched in 2020, the NSERC CREATE in QAQC for Cannabis Production, Products and Training Program (or QAQCC) is a collaborative initiative spanning three universities, Health Canada and industrial partners across the country. Graduate students (MSc and PhD) enrolled in the QAQCC Program perform research that contributes to the development of improved methods for cannabis production, postharvest handling, and processing, as well as compound extraction, formulation and analyses, as well as product quality and safety.

This webinar highlights the research of three trainees’ that have completed or nearly completed their doctoral studies. In sharing and exchanging knowledge, the QAQCC Program aims to strengthen much needed links between the government, academics and leaders in the cannabis industry. Upwards of 60 students will emerge from the QAQCC program by 2027, all with interdisciplinary and transversal skillsets allowing for smooth transition into the workforce, whether in academia, the public or private sectors.
